Viewing and Reading the Photographs of The Family of Man

As part of the activities associated with Ariella Azoulay’s tenure as a Leverhulme Visiting Professor in conjunction with Durham Centre for Advanced Photography Studies (DCAPS), we are planning to host an interdisciplinary 1-day workshop related to one of Ariella’s major new collaborative projects, ‘Viewing and Reading the Photographs of The Family of Man’. We invite papers that engage with the brief as set out on our new website: http://www.dcaps.net. Please send 500-word abstracts for 30-minute conference presentations and a brief biographical note (maximum 5 lines), together with affiliation and contact details to: photo.group@dur.ac.uk.

Deadline for abstract submission: 15 March 2011.
