Shadow Catchers: Camera-less Photography
The V&A has a new photography exhibition, ‘Shadow Catchers: Camera-less Photography’, opening on 13 October and running until the 20 February 2011.
The exhibition includes work by five contemporary artists—Floris Neusüss, Pierre Cordier, Susan Derges, Garry Fabian Miller and Adam Fuss—who create photographic images without the use of a camera. The produce images on photographic paper by casting shadows and manipulating light, or by chemically treating the surface of the paper.
More information on the exhibition and related events, along with specially commissioned films on each of the artists, can be found on the V&A site.
